Hiked 3 miles from the bottom of the Eagle's Nest Mountain to it's peak (6017ft tall). It's was used by Germany's Third Reich for gov't and social meetings. Once it was captured by the Allies in WW2, it was used as a military command post until the 1960's. Since then, it has been a tourist hot spot.
