Outside modern day city of Darmstadt, Germany, Frankenstein Castle was built sometime before 1250 by Lord Conrad II Reiz of Breuberg. Much history has occurred here, but the castle is known mostly for it's folk stories. Stories include Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Lord George and the Dragon by August Nodnagel, and many other ghost stories.
